The Atlanta Hawks have had one of the best month of November compared to other teams around the NBA, outside the Golden State Warriors. On November 1st, the Hawks started by defeating the Charlotte Hornets by two and followed with a road win against the Miami Heat by six. After defeating the lowly Brooklyn Nets the following night, the Hawks won two more games against the New Orleans Pelicans and Washington Wizards.
They couldn’t win every game, as they had their first loss of the month this week against the Minnesota Timberwolves at home by a final score of 117-107. The Hawks quickly put the loss behind them, defeating the Pelicans again two days later to cap off their three-game homestand.
Heading into the weekend, Atlanta (8-2) is second in the Eastern Conference trailing only the Cleveland Cavaliers (7-1). The Hawks have yet to lose on the road (4-0) and look to continue their winning ways in the second half of the month. Three NBA championship contenders are on the docket for the Atlanta Hawks throughout the rest of the month. One week earlier, the Hawks play their main competition in the Eastern Conference when they travel to Quicken Loans Arena to face LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The third most expensive game for the rest of the month is the only home contest in the top three, as the Hawks host the Oklahoma City Thunder at Philips Arena on November 30th with an average ticket price of $150.45 and a get-in price of $22. Kevin Durant recently tweaked his hamstring and is scheduled to only miss a week from now, so him and Russell Westbrook both should be good to go when they face the Hawks.
