After dealing guards Goran Dragic and Isaiah Thomas at the Trade Deadline this year, the Phoenix Suns essentially punted on contending with the New Orleans Pelicans and Oklahoma City Thunder for the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference playoff picture. Prior to beating the Utah Jazz on Apr. 4, the Suns had lost five-straight games.
Tuesday night’s meeting between the Atlanta Hawks and the Suns will be their second of the season, where the Hawks defeated the Suns 96-87 on Mar. 13. Markieff Morris had a big night, posting a 22-7-3-5 line in the loss, and with Paul Millsap not being available for the next two Hawks’ games the Better Morris could be in-line for a big night.
The other match-up to watch tonight is Suns’ guard Eric Bledsoe matching up against Hawks’ guard Jeff Teague. Bledsoe won their previous match-up with the former Kentucky Wildcat posting a 21-6-3 line to Teague’s eight points on 13 shots.
