Kevin Arnovitz of ESPN.com: “ATLANTA — Civil rights leader and former Atlanta mayor Andrew Young on Tuesday told a local television station that Danny Ferry should be allowed to rejoin the Hawks organization in his capacity as general manager. Asked by WSB TV’s sports director Zach Klein whether Ferry should lose his job, Young responded, “Hell no.” Hawks GM Danny Ferry took a leave of absence in September, but former Atlanta mayor and civil rights activist Andrew Young wants to see him return. Ferry took a leave of absence from the Hawks on Sept. 12 after a recording of him making inflammatory comments about Luol Deng on a conference call was made public. The team public announced a plan to debut a large granite sculpture, the creation of Brian Hanlon, the basketball Hall of Fame’s official sculptor, which will stand 13 1/2 feet high and weigh approximately 18,500 pounds. It will also permanently reside between the iconic A-T-L-A-N-T-A letters outside Philips Arena.”

That provides context to the latest ESPN mock draft ($) released on Tuesday, where Chad Ford projects Duke forward Justise Winslow to the Hawks with the 12th overall pick. Ford provided this snippet while linking Winslow and the Hawks:”
