The Atlanta Hawks will face off with the Detroit Pistons in their fifth preseason game Saturday night at Philips Arena.
The Hawks have mustered together a 2-2 record in the preseason thus far, having lost to a brutal Jimmy “Jordan” Butler buzzer-beater Thursday night in Chicago. The final score was 85-84, with stretch-4 Mike Scott scoring a team-high 15 points in the loss.
The Pistons come into Atlanta with a 3-2 preseason record, but will be playing on short rest with this game being game No.2 in a back-to-back (preseason back-to-backs, really?) for Stan Van Gundy’s club.
The Hawks will finish up their preseason at home versus the Charlotte Hornets on Monday at 7:30 and then travel to San Antonio on Wednesday to take on the Spurs to cap off another preseason for the Hawks.
